A NEW Book!
I am pleased to share that I successfully caught the "author bug" and have been working on my own book/series for the past year. I have been fortunate to have an incredible duo of artists collaborating with me on this project.
Meet Maria Constantinescu, the illustrator and artist behind the book. With over 10 years of Visual Arts experience, specifically with children's work, I am honored to have the unbelievably talented Maria join me all the way from Romania. Thank you for your dedication and insightful contribution.
Second up, my sister-in-law, Maria Scott of Maria Noel Design Company. Maria is a Graphic Designer with a keen eye for whimsical details, and I knew she was just the person to add a sophisticated yet childlike quality to the logo design for this series. Thank you, Maria!
This book was inspired by the fact that many of the Travel Prayer Kits I sell have been distributed to young children sick in the hospital with terminal illness. After contemplating and asking for advice on what to include in these kits that would speak to children, I ran with my dad's idea to create a book.
Although it has turned into more of a project than I think any of us anticipated, what has been created will, God willing, be a meaningful and encouraging resource and gift.
I don't take this book, the concept, or the inspiration lightly. I have really battled spiritually with this book to ensure that I am not capitalizing on anyone's pain or suffering. Throughout the journey of creating this book, there have been many prayers to ensure this is being led by the Holy Spirit and not me. However this turns out, I give all the glory to God, and many wishes of thanks and prayers to those who inspired the characters, the story, and helped see it to fruition.
